Still working on the extension cords for the mega tree and had to buy a cat5 testor, to aid me in finding where the problem is. I did find a bad line & replaced it. For the moment, everything seems to be working. Edit:

I too enjoy seeing static displays, they're stunning. Jeff, congrats on getting the cat5 problems worked out. I too had one bad cat 5 cable, it went into the trash. As far as extension cords, I actually have a bunch left over this year. Thanks to the four 8-channel controllers I bought from Hoffman. I was able to locate those closer to the items they powered, so that saved quite a few cords. Tonight I went live, without a major hitch. Oh, I spotted a few things that need fixed which is now on the agenda for tomorrow.

Joe, I had extensions left over this year as well, but my extras were due to a few display pieces I took out and/or didn't use this year.

How can I post photos here? I'm not very good with the computer, are there any step by step instructions I can read? Thanks.

Unfortunately Webs does have it's limitations... with that said, you would need to have an account at a "picture hosting site" like www.photobucket.com or www.imageshack.com. You would upload your pictures there, then you can upload to here from one of those hosting sites. I know it's complicated, but like I said above... Another option... I could try to upload your pictures, but that would entail you sending them to me, and I don't know if you want to do that???

Well, I am pretty sure I have almost all the kinks worked out of my show, with the exception of getting the "schedule timing" right. I always have problems with that!! Also, I tried using LOR SuperStar for several of the songs in my playlist, but truth be told... I'm not impressed!!! I was running out of time for sequencing and used SS to fill in the gaps.

Hope everyone's display is ok from the high winds; they've seem to calm down a bit, still at ~25 mph per weather channel app. The constant beating has been tough. My choir, risers included toppled over pulling 4 wood stakes out of the ground. took a 10' tree with it. Fortunately I took down 12 angels with coro wings or they'd have flown to heaven by now. I have some minor repairs to do in the morning, gonna be a bit chilly for that work. But at least the cold eliminated the GFI's popping. How'd you do?

2012 was a rebuilding and experimental year for me.. and even though I didnt get the Music sync into my display im happy t osay that switching to RGB LED lights was an incredible way to go.. and that my video projections on the garage door are a HUGE hit!!! due to the big snow im not going to run anymore this year as I decided not to tempt fate with projectors in the snow.. though they lasted through rain and cold withiout issue.. 2013 I will likely double the amount of RGB lights and really kick it up a notch.. maybe even add a laser projector or two for patterns on the house.. .. the RGB lights on rails faired through the high winds without issue.. and no Dead strands out of 32.. im also feeling real glad to be back IN! to the animated world -Christopher
