~Making Memories~

Our LUO Website

Posted by Jeff Phillips on February 4, 2010 at 6:50 PM

Well, it's been a long time coming, but our Ohio site is finally here and it is taking shape. I am happy that we have our own space now, and I'm hoping that all the Ohio decorators/Christmas light enthusiasts, will make this site, the hub for all (or most) of the activities in and around Ohio.

I like the new website look... But when trying to read forums, the contrast on some pages(forums) seems to blend in a lot with the background.. granted im more a Black background / colored text type.. but would be nice to be able to switch themes as a user preference?
as far as the general Look, I really like it!

That would be an awesome feature if Webs offered it, unfortunately they don't :-(
Each theme in this new website builder has it's own features, why they didn't make them same across the board is beyond me! But giving individual users the ability to pick their own themes just isn't there.
Thank you for the feedback though, it's great and I hope more members chime in with their thoughts!!!

The website has been given a much needed facelift! Hopefully everyone likes it??? There is still many changes that Webs could & should implement, but at least, it's a step in the right direction!!

We now have the "Real-Time Chat" and "LUO Mobile", for those with smart phones. Also, just an FYI - LUO members can have their own blog, if you choose to have one???

Well, the Bussworthy App hasn't changed to a "Christmas" topic like I was hoping. So what does everyone think... Do you find the photography topic useful? Should we keep the App or do away with it?

I thought I would try a App called Buzzworthy. I had to pick a topic, which was Photography - only because there wasn't anything related to Christmas. I did submit Christmas Lighting for a topic, but I see it still hasn't come up yet.
I will wait until next week, and if it doesn't change, I'll scrap it.

Well now that the 2010 LUO Event is over, I would guess that everyone is working on their displays & summer time projects and the like. So when you have a spare minute to get on here, let us know what's going on! We want to hear from everyone, even if it's just to stop by and say Hi.

Well, it's been almost 2 months since the LUO site went live, and so far I think it's going pretty well! We have several members and lots of posts in the forum. All in all, I don't think I could have asked for more.
